Well, I have a long week ahead of me... Hubs is out in VA hunting deer, and I'm here in TX alone cleaning the house. Hmmm, something doesn't seem right in that last sentence. lol
So, good news, or at least we thought... our house in TN was supposed to be getting rented, but apparently the guy wants to get some more "shopping" in before he settles. Don't know whats going on with that as of yet, but no contract has been signed yet. We shall see I guess. Should know something next week, I would think.
Next week I'll be working nights so that will be the start of my long week. I have a hard time adjusting to sleep schedules as it is, so this should be interesting.
I made some AWESOME chowder for dinner tonight. Its called Pablano Chicken Chowder. Mmmm mmm GOOD!! I just love to cook! I don't like to watch much TV very often, but turn on the Food Network, and I'm all over it. Hubs bought me a KitchenAid Mixer for my birthday. It sure has gotten ALOT of use since then:)
In the process of learning how to cook lamb... interesting. I just love P.F. Chang's Chengdu Spiced Lamb... so I'm gonna see if I can duplicate it. So far, haven't been able to find a recipe yet that has Chang's lamb, so I will go merely on taste... this could be interesting.
So far the weather is still warm here in TX, I really miss TN. For Hubs and me, we just know that TN is where we are supposed to be. Its refreshing when you find where home is to you.
Yea, I know the old saying... the one about "Home is where your heart is"... its true when it comes to happiness and love, but comfortability is another thing, I am most in my element in the Hills of Tennessee. Who knows, that may change one day, but for now, thats how it is.
Thats all I got for today. Tomorrow I will be going to a new church, leave it to TX to call a church Cowboy Fellowship of the Cross. Lol, well its got great reviews, so I'll check it out. Will let you know how the new church is.

Married Life...
Darryl and I got married on October 10th 2009. Its too bad that we had so much haze over the mountains in Gatlinburg.... but then again, it is the Smokey's. The ceremony was short, and sweet... it was beautiful. (See the pics below) We had an AWESOME reception!!! My mom and my sister Angela did so much work to make my day special. Needless to say, it wouldn't have been as great had it not been for them. Everyone just came together, and helped out where they could. My mom, my sister Angela, and my sister in law Darcy stayed late the night before getting the banquet hall decorated and ready for the reception.
My hubby and I had our first dance and it was wonderful. I feel so blessed to have a marriage with so much love. Darryl would do anything for me as I would for him.
My Dad and I had our Father Daughter dance... I'll never forget it. I pretty much danced the night away. lol I felt like a princess in my wedding gown. I just loved that dress! (I just wish it had sleeves... I am self conscience about my arms.)
Our wedding day was magical and unforgettable. We had so much fun and all the people that we love and care about were there. That made everything perfect!

2 More days at home...
As of today, I have 2 more days at home in TN. Then, I will return to Lackland AFB in San Antonio TX, which is my permanent duty station for the next 2 years (at least). I've been home on leave to take a little break and also do the recruiter assistance program (RAP) which is really easy... its pretty much just free non-chargable leave. Like a paid vacation.
Darryl and I have been getting the house packed and getting the wedding stuff all put together. Its been a big job, but we're slowly making a dent in our list of things-to-do before we get married and then move to San Antonio together. I will go down first so I can finish in-processing to the base and Wilford Hall Medical Center (the hospital on base that I will be working at), and in my off-time I will be looking for a place for us to live.
We are getting so excited about the wedding and finally being a married couple! Darryl gave me a ring that is just absolutely GORGEOUS!!! I will be very excited to show it off on Oct. 10! Looking forward to the date, and can't wait to see everyone!
That's all for now, and will write again soon!
